Research data
Where relevant to the research design and legal or ethical constraints, authors should describe the availability of data supporting the publication. Data should not be disclosed where doing so would violate privacy, confidentiality, consent or legal obligations.
Methods and reproducibility
Methods should be described with sufficient clarity for scholarly assessment. Fabrication, falsification and misleading manipulation of data are incompatible with publication in the journal.
Ethics approvals
Where the research requires ethics approval, consent or another formal authorisation, authors are responsible for providing accurate information about that approval in the manuscript or during editorial assessment.
