Initial screening
Submissions are checked for fit with the journal’s scope and for basic formal requirements before they enter scholarly assessment.
Scholarly review
Manuscripts selected for further consideration are sent for independent scholarly review. Review materials and working editorial data are not published as part of the public article record.
Decision
After review, a manuscript may be returned for revision, accepted, or rejected. Publication takes place only after the editorial, typesetting and proofreading stages have been completed.
