Pier Giorgio Frassati’s model of charitable activity (Model działalności charytatywnej Pier Giorgia Frassatiego)

Abstract

This article contains the moral and ideological influences for the idea of Christian
charity. It highlights the principles of charitable activity within the social teachings of the
Church and the results of this teaching through Roman Catholic social work. The paper amis
to show the charitable activities of Pier Giorgio Frassati (1901–1925); the Italian,
charismatic, social activist. Blessed by the Catholic Church, he is the patron of students,
young people, people of the mountains and the Catholic Action charity. His model of
institutionalized help is based on spontaneously formed initiatives with varying degrees of
formality, which is also referred to as the model of social-charitable work in the local
community.
