This paper presents theoretical and empirical considerations about the interfusion
between the virtual reality of social networks and the real world, in the context of subjective
perception of time. Young people grow up surrounded by rapidly developing technologies
and spend more and more time using social networks, which influences the organization of
activities and the ability to plan and manage them over time. The aim of the analysis was to
find similarities and differences in the Temporal Organisation of Activity measured by AION
Cz. Nosal, B. Bajcar (2004) between students who spend more than 1 hour social networking
per day and those, who do not. The results show differences in temporal organisation of
activity and similarities in perception of time pressure.
