Za jaką wolnością i równością jesteśmy? Analiza porównawcza postaw studentów diagnozowanych w roku 2003 i 2008

Streszczenie

W niniejszej publikacji dokonano charakterystyki postaw wobec demokratycznych
zasad równości i wolności. Badania przeprowadzono dwukrotnie: w roku 2003 (325 osób)
oraz w roku 2008 (379 osób) i objęły one studentów białostockich uczelni. Założono, że wraz
z zaawansowaniem procesów transformacyjnych wzrasta wśród studentów akceptacja postaw
prodemokratycznych.
znaczenie wolności w pewnych obszarach funkcjonowania społeczeństwa i jednostki

Abstract (EN)

The present publication deals with the description of attitudes towards the democratic
principles of equality and freedom The research was conducted twice: in 2003 (325
respondents), and in 2008 (379 respondents), and it embraced students of the Bialystok
universities. It was assumed that, together with the advancement of the transformation
processes, there is a growth of the acceptance of pro-democratic attitudes among students.
The attitudes were diagnosed on the basis of the set of views. Nine pairs of statements were
used. They refer to the democratic principles of equality and freedom (these are the author’s
own statements, or they come from other author’s papers). The comparison of the results,
obtained in 2003 and 2008, pointed out that the importance of freedom in certain areas of a
society’s and individual’s functioning (being open to the world, the freedom of forming
associations, the freedom of making personal choices, e.g. euthanasia) was emphasized more
strongly in the other survey. The attitudes referring to the democratic principle of equality
were accepted to a high degree and their indices were similar in both of the surveys.
